This was a hard book to read and an even harder review to write. I would love to be able to give the book 5 stars because I really liked the plot idea and it ended in a way that had me one-clicking the next in the series because I have to know what happens. So, in most instances that might lead to 5 stars. But, as I said it was a hard book to read. Not because it’s in 3rd person Omnipotent POV….I’m used to that POV. It was hard because most of the characters read as immature and a lot of the story development decisions made me feel like I had memory problems.
Now, don’t get me wrong…..I believe it was meant to make me feel that way….I’m just not sure it was necessary or helpful to my read of it. Of course, it wasn’t written specifically for me and there are other readers that adapted to the style and love the series. I’ve been told as I continue on, the series will be comparable to a Soap Opera. And, been asked and agreed to trust the journey. I’ll show you a teaser below with the Author’s intent explained.
So, how do I rate this? I was going to rate it 3.5 Stars, but I’ve decided to compromise and rate it 4 stars because I think this author has the potential to pull a 5 star review out of me. After all….even with the problems I had …it still had me buying the next book. So, I’m going to continue on the journey and give this world a chance to mature and give the author a chance to pull those 5 stars out of me.

I don’t write Romance Novels. I write about love and life, but if you’re expecting the formula and verbiage of a romance novel then you’re in the wrong place. If you like soap operas, can get your head around a cast of characters, and like a bit of mystery and psychology and sex then maybe you’ll like what you read. I write about subjects that people probably don’t want to read about though. I cover everyday life, death, abuse, crime, sex from various angles, and love, always love. All of my books are rated 18+ and are intended to be read by adults.
I say “read love differently” but I know people have some fixed views about love and life and they might not understand love the way I write it, but I’m not giving up hope. Without hope you have nothing.
